fashion design portfolio help?

Hi guys! im new to this forum, so forgive me if im writing this in the wrong place ect.. :colondollar:

I was just wondering whether any of you have any advice for preparing a portfolio for my Fashion Design course interview that i have in september.
I dont know where to start, what to included ect..

Any advice will be really appreciated!

Ex fashion student here.

Have you just finished school ( GCSEs) or 6th form/college? Do you have any art course work? You could include some of this. If you are a school leaver then I image a college would expect more art based work. I remember mine did.

Otherwise set yourself a couple of little projects to do over the summer. Pick a theme and create some deisgns around this. Create some Mood boards, afew fashion illustrations, maybe your own designs or illustrations of a catwalk image. Sketch books are also quite good to start keeping and interesting to take to interviews, collect sampes of fabric, nice buttons, beads, any images that you like, find interesting and inspiring and add them to the sketch book. Fun way to spend the summer :smile:
