How international are the students at Heriot-Watt?

Hey students,

I am from Germany and would like to go to HW for my MSc in Business Psychology.

Are many british students actually studying there or does HW mainly teach international students? I want to improve my English skills and get to know real british people.

I think there is quite a good mixture, depending on the course.

Having lived abroad, I know how easy it is to make friends with mainly foreign students but as long as you make the effort you'll be fine. You also have the advantage of English being the lingua franca so you will most likely be using it with everyone (other than fellow Germans perhaps!).

I know a lot of 'natives' that study at Heriot Watt and most have at least one foreign student in their group of friends. I think there are enough internationals for them not to all stick together but not so many that they're unavoidable!

Edinburgh is a great city anyways.
