Would you rather live in Britain or America?

The prospect of living in the US is putting me off applying for education there (their higher education model is on the whole better). It's a total bombardment of commercialism and consumerism. Trying to describe 'Americans' as a population is futile though.

Maybe America. Not much better than Britain though, just the same.

I'd like to live in the USA temporarily but not settle there permanently. LA and NYC!

Have you been to LA?
Preferably NYC with a place in Maine or Connecticut.

America, more specifically Los Angeles.

Being a citizen of USA has lots of advantage but I absolutley would prefer the England because I am sympathetic to Britain.

USA so I can use my accent to pull American girls. :colone:

LOL! I plan to do the same over there next year

No, but I love The US and I just want to expand my horizons. Guns really aren't such a major problem as people think, Health Care is very much affordable, particularly if you work full time as most adults do. Also, it's tremendously vast so if you are unhappy somewhere, moving is not as hard as you would think. Particularly, if you have a skill set which is sought after.

For those who want to move here, the NE is awesome and the NW too. Just stay VERY VERY FAR from Miami....
US so I can go to Low End Theory.
I lived over in Georgia for a while and I loved it. The people over there seemed to all be a lot nicer than over here. Maybe it was just because I was younger at the time. I plan on doing a year abroad in either the USA or Canada to really experience it as an adult, I can't wait.

Say if you were quite well off? Obviously, it depends where you lived but say you could choose between living in London/Birmingham or a great British city versus New York/Los Angeles or one of the biggest American cities? Which would you pick and why?

If it's neither of those places, where would you live? :pierre:

Don't compare London or Birmingham. Save Birmingham for when you ask us to compare Saudi Arabia with the US or Britain
