Your Experiences of Studying Abroad

Hi, I'm working on putting together a bunch of information for the Study Abroad section of TSR and am looking for a few people to share their experiences of studying abroad (whether it was your entire degree or a year abroad), specifically about the social aspects, how the university and country compared to being in the UK and that sort of thing.

If you're interested it'd be great if you could just answer the following questions:
- Where/when/what did you study?
- Whilst studying there where did you live? What did you enjoy about living there? Were there any problem with it?
- What were the similarities and differences between studying there and in the UK? (Particularly in relation to the teaching methods, how students behaved and any extra-curricular/social activities)
- Overall, what would you say you gained/learned from your time abroad?
