GCSE, IGCSE to A level advice

Hi everyone.

I'm 26 and looking to do A Levels and then advance on into university if all goes well. Ideally to study medicine, which I know with enough determination and study its possible.

Unfortunately I left school with no GCSEs grades worth mentioning, just bad timing. I was in all the top classes and predicted good grades.

I think what I am going to do is Take my Maths, English and Science GCSE at college and then do distant learning A levels.

To my question, because its a science root I'll be taking, would it be a good idea to do IGCSE science based courses along side my GCSE studies at college, since it would only be a single science.

Thank you for any advice

Eddie
