Have my assessment next week, anybody know how many people are at each assessment?
Original post by LuciLuci
Has anyone done the tests that are required before the assessment day? I'm having technical issues with mine and the deadline is tomorrow :/ I'm going to the assessment centre on the 13th August.

Any feedback from today?

I would email Andrea Cadd she sorted out my problem and don't worry about the log in info I wasn't asked for it either ([email protected])

emailed her, she sent me a reply with a link to the GIA Test again which I had already completed but apparently on the system its incomplete. The link I couldn't get access to originally which was the PPA assessment is coming up as complete. Bit confused and seems a bit of a shambles.

to those who have had the assessment centre how did it go? I have mine coming up and was just curious, is there more numerical reasoning to be expected?
Thanks

Thank you so much you have definitely put my mind a little at ease! Don't think I could deal with more maths right now!
Hope yours went well, I haven't had the assessment centre yet but I know in their info pack they said you will all hear the end of August, I assume after all AC have taken place if that helps
Thanks again

Hi, The AC is as per the info pack with nothing to catch you by surprise. Wouldn't be fair to post details of the written exercise, but it's nothing you can prepare for. Good Luck

can anyone let us know exactly what was done in the assessmenrlt centre ie the written exercise? and anything else that was asked.

at the end of the day it could be said that it was unfair of me posting the telephone interview questions at the beginning. also people who have already had their ac, the telephone interviewer said theres approx 30 people in each ac and 10 will get selected from each ac so by you telling us will not affect your own chances

Hi Zubby786,

You should note that it is against the rules of the forum to post/discuss specific content from your interviews/assessment centres.

Please read the sticky at the top of the forum for more info!

Haven't heard anything yet, did they say early September on the day? I really need to know sooner than that!
2nd week of September they said to us.
Hey,

Does anyone know when they said that we would get our travel expenses back?

Doesn't seem very clear from the website what the job is? Perhaps it becomes clearer when you apply, but from looking at their graduate section I can't see anything that actually says what the role involves (other than there being rotations).

Hope you guys have looked in to that!

Because there isn't one. They operate over about 12 sectors and 30 graduates will be placed all over the group.

One "Capita" umbrella but Graduate 1 will be doing a very different job to Graduate 30.

I'll be judging the job on its merits (and location) if and when i'm offered something.

In fairness, aren't a fair chunk of graduate schemes pretty vague?

Not that vague in my experience.

On the one hand, they are a very credible employer so it might be a good opportunity. On the other hand, they specialise in outsourcing so my fear would be ending up part of an outsourced business process for two years in some sort of service centre (HR/IT/Finance support work).

I guess it might be a gamble worth taking; 25k isn't bad and you don't have to stay if it doesn't work out!

Summed it up for me. Won't be a risk worth taking for everyone (I reckon they'll end up having a few declined offers once they expand a little - i'll certainly have a number of questions) but I see progression there.

They have a thriving recruitment base - if they wanted 'office monkeys' to plug outsource holes, I think they could get them (and they are advertising for a number of specific graduate job roles currently). This scheme has been invested in pretty heavily and has been really focused on management and leadership of the Group.

Only 30% of their employees joined Capita as an entity so I reckon there'll be the opportunity to grow and lead with them. They're bound to favour their own people...

As you say, fair few risks but a FTSE100 company (with a lot of diversity), decent salary, good locations, chance of progression and a fully funded MSc after two years as well.

Yea the MSc sounds interesting, although a little vague on where it is awarded from. Sounds like you've thought it through and will make a reasoned decision when the time comes. Out of interest, are you pursuing alternative options?
Anybody heard anything yet? I know it says by 6th September but just wondering if anybody heard early?

Hi, I am a student that is due to graduate in May/June 2014. Has this Capita Graduate Scheme already closed for the intake that would be due to start during Septemberish 2014?

Thanks

Nope, I think applications may re-open in October, when the new graduates start.
