Economics / Philosophy @ LSE Help

Hi, two questions

1) If I apply for Philosophy & Economics at the LSE is there as much importance placed on maths as there is for the pure economics course in the admission process? I'm assuming if you're not up to the economics department's standards, that's it regardless of you being suitable for the philosophy course? I'm expecting to just about get an A which is the requirement but I doubt scraping it will be good enough in terms of the competition?

2) If I'm applying for PPE elsewhere, will my PPE personal statement damage my chances if I chose to apply for Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method?

Cheers in advance
Hi, I just did a degree in Philosophy at the LSE and I can tell you that I had to rely on my further maths a-level a lot since much of the content is heavily influenced by the likes of Sen. They will expect you to be proficient in logic, to quite a high standard, very quickly.

I met some Econ&Phil grads there, it sounds like a brilliant course. Good luck!
