Re: The Art Society
sorry
didn't mean that.. I love contemporary art
hehe...
It dsnt matter if other people have done it! it's unique because:
A. It's the first time you've done it!
2. you say so!
Always have confidence in your art, if someone tells you it's crap and unoriginal tell them: you're crap and unoriginal! Why do you think Tracey Emin is so famous? for making a messy bed with some panties on it? is that unique? don't think so... But she has confidence in her work...(don't like her, think her art is crap
but that's just my opinion
)
I'd like to see some of your work
I'm curious! and never give up.. perfection in art is just around the corner.. besides who said you've never made anythign perfect? I'll be the judge of that

Re: The Art SocietyGood point. I guess if you think of the whole making of art as an event in itself then this is pretty important.(Original post by ~Lc~)

Don't get me wrong, I haven't been ridiculed or anything, just had a bit of a crisis of confidence. But yeah I'll post pictures when I have something finished (just started a new project).(Original post by ~Lc~)

Re: The Art Society
Hey guys. First of all I want to apologize for being away from here for so long (have been very busy with A-levels). Soon I will be posting some great art sites I've found over the int' n' net and i've now joined deviant art so look me up when you're there, although I should warn you it is in it's development stages

Re: The Art Societyobvious one, but have u looked at picasso's distortions?(Original post by Milie B)
i've already looked up him, jenny saville and henry moore but i need another one.
Max Beckmann distorts his figures in his paintings.
Frank Auerbach is a great painter that distorts his subjects.
Alberto Giacometti distorts.
Leon Kossoff distorts in the same way as Auerbach does.
Ernst Ludvig Kirschner distorts.
Modigliani distorts his figures.
there are loads more. hope this helped..
didn't mean that.. I love contemporary art
but that's just my opinion
so am i count??
