final decision?

Would you recommend the university of Edinburgh or East Anglia for a master in American Literature!thanks in advance.
Without knowing the specifics of your interests, I would say UEA. It could be the case that Edinburgh has specialists in some particular area/a module in a subject that you are especially interested in, and that that UEA doesn't offer...so it may be more suitable for you; but, generally, UEA is one of the best places to do American Lit in the UK.

Any particular kind of ethnic lit? I think UEA is good for Native American . Not sure about Edinburgh...I get the sense they are a bit more historical and a bit more traditional with their American curriculum, probably with strengths in early American, if that is the case.

Greek and maybe Turkish, oriental themes etc. Yes they UEA has a course for Native American lit,UEA has more courses about contemporary lit however Edinburgh has course which exclusively deal with ethnicity. But still as you said they emphasize early American lit. I also got confused because I get the sense that UEA courses are more 'political' and would benefit more students who would like to get involved with american studies and politics rather than those interested in literaray studies.
