I think most places are hiring and are hiring in decent numbers. The trouble is that I think there's way more competition than usual ... doesn't really help when, let's face it, the process is a complete lottery.

Thought I'd update on my experience so far. All for IBD FT

Barclays: Rejected post AC - they are done though.
Lazard: Final rounds done - waiting to hear. They have final rounds next week. Probably their last/penultimate set as applicants will hear back first week of november
Greenhill: Rejected post second round - gave out 3 offers in the AC, probably had another by now and are most likely done
MS: Waiting to hear post second round - they have started second rounds this week
Moelis: Have first round next week - both first round and AC are in the same week, they are taking on 3.
Evercore: Have had one AC. Will have 2 more in November. Had first round interview, which is being done by Dartmouth.

If anyone has knowledge about other banks, it would be useful to hear.

Who were your interviews with at Morgan Stanley? Did you get interviewed by juniors bankers or MDs?

I had AC for Evercore last year - really liked the firm and would love to have joined them but got dinged at the final stage. Had to wait 4 weeks after the AC.
