Is it a good or bad sign that a company always takes on temps?

I think it is clear that if there was much chance of those temps going permanent, they why keep taking on temps?

Surely when the workload increases for the company, then they employ temps to do the work. When the workload decreases, the temps get let go.

I might give up my second job, but is that wise if the main job (9hr days) is only temporary?

A colleague at that workplace told me they are always taking on temps, and it has set the alarm bell ringing?

If I give up my part-time job (permanent) then 6 months down the line I may have no job at all?

Advice.
