Haha! So they definitely enjoy letting their hair down! Are there any other types of student who are well known for extreme partying?

Chemists tend to know how to party, well, certainly my year won't miss an opportunity for a night out.

First one is an actual timetable and the second one just shows what a typical chemistry students week is like

the second one is pretty accurate for what your timetable is like in first year at Sheffield. The girl that wrote it did the maths module for those who did A level maths, as well as some other chemistry modules that I didnt do myself.

My timetable last year was:
Monday 9am - lecture 10am - maths lecture 3pm maths lecture (again)
Tues 10-5pm labs
Wed 10am lecture 11am lecture 12 - tutorial (most of my year had this at 11 on a fri)
Thurs 10am lecture 3pm-5 Tandem (semester 1 only)
Fri 9am lecture 10am maths lecture 2pm-5pm Language module

I think my first year was about 25 hours a week. 2nd year a bit less, 3rd year a bit less than that.

Then my masters year was 9-5/6 every day

Nottingham. Chemistry/sciences are only really unsociable when you compare them to humanities etc (I know 6 hour weeks were common for sociology)

Yeah, my sister did Psychology and she hardly had any contact time.

Did you enjoy Nottingham? Sorry for the questions, I'm just looking where to apply!

Yeah enjoyed it a lot. Huge green campus and the chemistry department is one of the biggest departments there.

(Obviously I'm bias and you should see for yourself )
