Does Nottingham accept transfers after 1st year? Do they require a specific grade in first year?

It depends on the individual school/department within the university, both in terms of whether they will accept transfers from within/outside the university, and what grade they would require.

Which course are you thinking of transferring onto?

I am looking to go on to Electrical/Electronic engineering BEng, to start on the 2nd year of the degree programme, from a different university. Was just wondering whether this would be possible or worth applying?

As above...contact the department and maybe even admissions. Usually they would expect you to have come from the very same course code and/or have similar modules that fit. If you're coming from a totally different course then it would more than likely be a no...but they are the best ones to advise on that.
