UCL foreign language requirement

I have a D in GCSE French but was not asked as part of my conditions to do a foreign language. My offer is now unconditional, do I need to do a unit when I get to UCL, because I have not been informed of doing such thing.

Unless they've specifically said so, I wouldn't expect that you'd have to do a unit.

i think you have to take a mini language course when you start
