GCSEs for Oxbridge?

Hello,
I am interested in studying at either Oxford or Cambridge, having recently got my AS Level results of AAAA. My GCSEs aren't quite up to scratch, predominantly Bs and about 2 A*s. Despite this, I am the head of debate at my school, the head of the school paper and I am also taking an EPQ- in which I am predicted an A*. Essentially, what I'm asking is, am I wasting my time by applying to Oxbridge? :frown:

If GCSEs let you down, choose a course that uses entrance exams. Then ace it

IIRC, Oxford focus more on GCSEs than Cambridge.
No. You are not wasting your time.

Thanks guys, this has really motivated me for all my coursework. I think that I will just go for it, the worst that can happen would be not getting an interview, which I wouldn't be overly horrified or scarred by. I am booking in to sit the LNAT (the law examination entry test), so Namige, fingers crossed I will ace it! I will definitely apply for Cambridge, but perhaps hold back on Oxford.
