Local gym

I'll be living on the Canterbury campus, is the campus gym any good? Or is there a better local gym?
I'm thinking in terms of how busy it is, range of equipment and weights, opening times, that sort of thing :smile:

The campus gym has recently been refurbished and the price is pretty cheap at £175 for a year's 'Gold' membership (working out at slightly over £14.5 a month). Gold membership provides unlimited access to sport facilities and more information about opening hours etc can be found here: http://www.kent.ac.uk/sports/membership/student.html

Excellent! What's the difference between the silver and gold? Is the silver only for off peak times?

Silver is only for off peak times, yes. Early bird price for Silver is £148.50 for the year and includes all the other parts the gold membership offers.
