My friend said that he got 2930 in UKCAT, is he lying?

I'm not sure how the scores work, so I'm just asking. I thought that the average was 600 something and that 700+ was considered really good (and so I assumed that it was marked out of 1000), but he's now telling me that it's marked out of 3600 and yeah I'm confused.

Is he lying?

It does get marked out of 3600. When people say they got 600/700 something, it's their average score they're mentioning.

No he's probably not lying.. that would give him an average score of 732.5, which is very plausible.

What is the UKCAT anyway?

Each section is between 300 and 900 based on relative scores , 4 sections are added up for a score out of 3600 , but it is easier to quote average score over 4 sections. Either way your friends score is REALLY good!!
Perfectly plausible.

The UKCAT has four sections, each scored out of 900 - making the total out of 3600. However, people usually give their score as an average. A score of 2930 gives an average of 732.5 which is an excellent score but not unbelievable.
