People won't like that you bumped after only half an hour.

Check out studentladder.co.uk under work experience and banking for some opportunities for sixth formers.

Also look at the social mobility fund.

You should start now.

You're 16. The industry is being squeezed en masse. Enjoy your youth. Get some hobbies, get some girls, you can leave all this kind of stuff till the summer before freshers.

Most people with this mindset seem to be nerdy as ****

Fair enough. Most bankers that I've met did not begin to pinpoint the industry until 18/19.... Even some summer interns that I've met this summer have a fairly weak grasp of the industry compared to what you'd expect. At 16 you've not even started your A-Levels, the time that you're spending on IB reading or whatever, could be spent ensuring that you get 100 UMS in all your AS Levels and get into Cambridge rather than Imperial.

Getting knee-deep in IB books at 16 is going to give you a nano-edge if that.

(no harm going to insight days etc, but reading the Vault Guide to Investment Banking at 16 is a waste of your precious youth)
