As an update on this thread, I am currently doing my last week of evening work at the same time as my first week of the PGCE. It is hell. I am tired. Scratch that, I am intellectually exhausted. I have no time to switch my brain off and relax. Tomorrow is my last evening and it cannot come soon enough. And this is just in lectures and seminars - no lesson planning, no teaching, no assignments.
I can safely say that I could under no circumstances keep working in addition to the course for the remaining 35 weeks. If I did, I would be dead by Christmas.
