"wean" is actually the worst one, like "going to get the wean from school!" horrible word.

I have a few elderly relatives who say that. It's been making me cringe since a young age.

I do find 'bairn' even worse though.

Quite a lot of words describing fat. "Flub," "blubber," "chubby," "tubby." Misuse of the word "obese" makes me want to scream.

The Americans have started doing this thing where they are on a crusade to remove the whole word category of adverbs from our language.

'I did good'
'We played great'
'He's running real quick'

Maybe they'll go after nouns next.
When a girl says my man. Like "Stay away from my man". Ewww it just makes their partner seem like THEIR property.

When people say "you know" every sentence. Or, "you know what I mean, yeah" No, I don't, explain it.
The word 'fam' drives me crazy as 'totes' does too.
And the slang for pregnant, 'bun in the oven', like really?
Just the general abbreviation of speech annoys me. Bellends using acronyms in actual speech is the worst. Does it really take less effort to say O.M.G. instead of just saying oh my God?
