Dialectics

I am reading Marx Capital 1 with David Harvey's guidance. An important obstacle to overcome (so Harvey says) is Marx's modification and use of dialectics. I understand perfectly the distinctions between Hegel's and Marx's approaches, the frameworks, and what Marx was trying to achieve by modifying the system, but I still cannot see how dialectics can be applied to analyses or extrapolated from arguments, especially when an argument or analysis consists of so many complex variables. Please help!

It is necessary to steep yourself in Hegel and Marx and keep reading. It is a lifetime's work. I think Harvey is helpful but a better text to read (in my opinion) is Roman Rosdolsky's 'The Making of Marx's Capital' (in 2 volumes). Many so-called "Marxists" do not understand dialectics. That is quite obvious as soon as you try to deepen a conversation with them. We have to study Marx's method, his approach. This is the key to "analyses" and "arguments".
