Anyone hoping to do mental health nursing at uni?

What qualifications are you taking and what experience have you got, or plan to get?

I have three AS levels in Sociology, English Language and Psychology (grades AAC), but I've started BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care as it includes work experience, which will involve three placements. I'd like to do one with children, one with adults and one with older people in mental health or learning disability settings.

I also volunteer as a mentor for The Blurt Foundation, and I'm going to apply for volunteering in a Mind charity shop. Also - even though they're not mental health related - I have a Saturday job in a bakery and I'm a social media volunteer for skin charity DEBRA, which will give me transferable skills.
