Medicine Myth...

Is it true that international students have a higher chance of getting into University in the UK for medicine because they have to pay £30,000+ pounds a year?

no thats a load of rubbish
they have limited spaces for internationals anyway
Quite the opposite.

Due to the way medicine is funded in the UK, there are very limited numbers of places for internationals to do medicine, making it more competitive.

There's an element of truth to what you say for most other subjects, but it should be noted that due to the way the caps and funding works, international students aren't actually taking places from British students, and they're actually subsidising UK uni students with their higher fees
