Does computer science Bsc involve a lot of programming?

I'm considering doing Comp Sci at uni but really dislike coding/ programming (fail to understand it) but enjoy other aspects of it. How much of it is actual coding/ programming?

I would imagine the first year focuses a fair amount on programming, as there will be some who have had no programming experience and will need to catch up. However, in the later years you're free to specialise in modules you prefer, perhaps going down a more hardware-specific route if you dislike programming. Although, if you're considering Computer Science yet you dislike programming... perhaps the subject isn't for you. What areas of CS do you like? You could look into Electrical engineering or networking?

Thanks for the reply! As you said, I enjoy the hardware aspect of things, the more electrical side of things, maybe I'll look into Electrical Engineering then! :colondollar: Thanks again!

Courses can vary between institutions, some have a lot and some not so much. You will encounter programming at some point at the logic involved is a crucial aspect in computing, but the vast majority of people starting these courses will not have programmed before and you will be taught assuming no knowledge; a lot of people over-worry before starting.

The vast majority of a CS course is Programming.

Maybe can i suggest a more Network based course? Or general Computing? Or Engineering.
