Applying for MSc Social Work, work experience

I'm wanting to apply to Dundee to study for an MSc in Social Work. Has anyone else studied on this course? How did you find it? Would love to hear other students experiences of it.

I've recently graduated from Edinburgh uni with a 2:1 in Sociology, however my work experience is lacking a bit. I emailed Dundee and they said that any experince I can get from now till when my application is processed will help. The application deadline is Jan 2014, by this time I'll only have 4-5month work experience under my belt. Is this likely to hinder my chances of getting in? I really don't want to wait another year to apply. Nervous as have noticed other uni's require 6months to a years(+) work experience.
