What if there are dirty people that I don't want to share my stuff with.. that really is my worst nightmare. I was going to bring a kettle for my room too, wasn't sure if we're allowed but I don't see why not. I wonder how many plug sockets we get..

Yeah I'm bringing a kettle, an iron and a TV. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what we need....

I'm gonna need loads of plug sockets. Maybe I should bring an adapter.

No toaster?

Oh does anyone know if we'll definitely have a microwave in our kitchen? The booklet thing says that only most rooms have them, I need a microwave! It's the only way I know how to make food!

Also I heard that you get no TV reception in East Slope but do you think being right at the top of the Slope will make a difference?

You can get signal at the top of ES. I've seen it done.

@ erm - You do get a microwave.

There's a toaster and a kettle already there, the toaster is one of the ones that does 4 pieces of bread at a time. People never usually use the toaster at the same time, so I reckon you'll end up taking your one back at Christmas!

If you're in a 12 person flat you'll get more than one, we had two kettles, two toasters and two microwaves.

Ah that sounds much better. Thank you.

Another thing I was wondering is exactly how bad are the beds? I've heard so many horror stories about student beds, are they as terrible as everyone makes them sound?

Mine was erm, somewhat noisy. As, by the sounds of it, were my neighbours.

It was very comfy though, I used to spend upwards of 14 hours a day in it sometimes

Well, I refused to sleep on my girlfriends matress, It was terrible. They sorted out a new one (at no cost) quickly though.

The bed itself was very robust, mine didn't creak at all, just make sure you move it away from the wall if you're feeling frisky.

It's the matress that really determines the comfort though, and mine was fine.

Is Flat 1 ES the closest student acc. in britain to a SU bar?

It can't be more than 10ft, surely?

Hey hey! Only 11 days to go now! not long. A quick few questions if I may, How many of you are actually going to take and ironing board? because lets be honest, it's probably going to take up 1/3 of our room easily! Also internet access? isit going to be free? and will there be a download limit? no running torrents etc? anyway...

@ Elementalism- You still free to give me a lift up there matey boy? I think my mum wants to come... but she said shes gota go early :-/

Oh also how many of you are bringing your rents up? isit a majority thing? didn't even think of my mum coming, but on reflection... it's almost like a tradition I heard.

My dad came with me.

I don't see how I'd get my stuff there otherwise, not having a car and all.
