Yep! The US series! They came back for season 9 with Ryan, Colin, Wayne and then a random fourth each week! I haven't laughed this hard in a very long time! There are 10 episodes currently available, so it looks like you need to catch up

Ah gosh I need to find them! Is Drew still hosting it?

Unfortunately no :frown: He has been replaced by Aisha Tyler, but she has a good personality that matches the show! Some of the episodes left me in tears from laughing so hard, gogo you must watch!

There isn't much going on in that group other than people trying to confirm their specific pathway choices... I'm really thankful that all of the units for Biomedical are compulsory, as it looks like everyone is having a really difficult time making their decision!

I still need to watch the episode of Dexter that was released today... I've been slacking at the gym and trying to figure out what I need for when I move up north! I'm coming from the outskirts of London, so it's a real move for me! Haha

Have you seen the episode yet ? Ah you'll have to add me on facebook =]
Yeah the group updates have been really annoying lately  hopefully it'll get back to actual conversations soon, I think the biomedical people are just avoiding the group for now.

Also I want to add to my fan things: Flight of the Concords, The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings, Green Wing, Modern Family and Keith Floyd cooking xD

Wow. I just watched the latest episode of Dexter! I can't believe how dramatic it is right now and how sloppy Dexter and Deb are... I mean if she knew that they were searching for Hannah why would she put herself into such a vulnerable position considering she may be tailed? And how ironic is it that a Marshall isn't aware of current APBs or even question Saxon. I mean, if you saw someone tied up you would assume they may have done something to put themselves into that position... At least question it damnit. It's almost as bad as watching a scary movie and someone says, "I'll check it out, you wait here..." I MEAN COME ON :frown: TL;DR - Wut?

Oh and as for the Facebook group, everyone is far too concerned with their modules to try and be social. Besides when you're in a group with a bunch of people you don't know it's hard to strike up a decent conversation! I'm sure moving in day will be completely the opposite!

Hey all. There are lots of societies that cater to fandoms: harry potter society, pulsar (sci fi and fantasy), pokemon, lumas (manga and anime), GALUP (my little pony), LURPS (role playing - real life and tabletop), Board game society and others I've forgotten I'm sure.

Yep very similar, I'm not too fond on the events but I'll probably try and make them to socialise and see what it's like (even though I have social anxiety) I'll join you on the sugar high!

Yup, I'd rather avoid the nasty hang over! - been there, done that, got the T-shirt! When I'm not exploring a world of series I'm usually training at the gym, so staying up all night and drinking isn't really the best idea! However I will try to make some of the events to push myself out of my comfort zone... I'll just stick to a sugar high with some cola or pepsi  How about yourself?

To be fair drinking really isn't a necessary part of enjoying yourself in Lancaster. Go out and dance to cheesy music, nothing finer.

ALL OF THE ABOVE! Also a massive Harry Potter fan and starting to get into Lord of the Rings too (almost finished Fellowship). It's great to see there are other fangirls going to Lancaster

I know I was worried that me and my particularly extreme love of Doctor Who, Sherlock etc, would be alone.

It's good to finally find a thread like this for Lancaster. Don't get me wrong, as long as people are nice/genuine, idc what their interests are but with all the threads about nightlife etc, I was starting to think that it would be difficult to find anyone I had anything in common with. I hate drinking/clubbing, but I'm going to give freshers week a go none the less. I started to feel that I'd be very pushed out of the social side of things for being quite introverted so I'm really relieved to see a thread like this.

Hobbies/Fandoms:
WoW, WoT, Doctor Who, GoT, TBBT, Magic: The Gathering (new to this), The Hunger Games etc.

I love anything Sci-Fi/Fantasy, so it would be great to be introduced to new things. (:

Any Tickld users here out of interest?

hi  nice to see another TBBT and hunger games fan!
hey! Glad to see this thread! I'm a Doctor Who, Marvel loving convention go-er : P
Great to see there;s actually some fandom lovers at Lancaster! : P
