Advice about Birmingham

Hi all,
I want to apply for medicine and really like Birmingham. However, they say they give preference to those students who achieved AAAA at AS, but I got AAAB :frown:

I meet the other requirements, but I was wondering if I would be disadvantaged if I applied? Has anyone managed to get an offer with less than 4 A's ?

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, so take my advice with a pinch of salt :tongue:

When I went to the open day, they pretty much said they'll discount anyone with less than 4 As. The only exceptions to this were mitigating circumstances or entrance via contextual data (basically if you go to a crap school lol).
You can still apply, just bear in mind that it's a big risk.
