Oxbridge Application GCSEs

Hi,

If I got 8 A*s, 2As and a B at GCSE (drama), will the B harm may chances of a successful application to oxbridge?

Cheers
Dan
If your as levels and predictions for A2 are good then they probably wouldn't care about 1B
I doubt it would matter.

Also, if it helps, I went to a talk about Oxbridge admissions and this is what they told me regarding GCSEs (I don't remember whether this was across the two universities or just Cambridge): the average applicant has between four and eight A*s, the average successful applicant slightly higher than that. Didn't mention a thing about B grades, so I'd assume it's unimportant.
Unlikely to matter much, though it depends on what subject you'd be applying for

Not for Cambridge no. Its all about your UMS at AS level. A B in English or maths might have been an issue for some degree subjects such as Law or medicine.
