Don't live at uni

I live at home with my parents instead of living in halls I find it difficult to socialise as I can't go out every night I made a few male friends during freshers but am shy around girls

Do you have a question? Doesn't seem like there's much you can do about the situation.

the only thing to do would be to not live at home with parents next year, unless you can afford to find a student house to move into now. There will still be a few rooms available near the uni.

As for your shyness around girls, the only thing you can really do to get over the shyness is just swallow it and talk to them anyway. You'll find we're human beings just like you and we won't bite.

Find it difficult to meet new people went out 4 times in freshers But people were generally just going on nights out with flatmates

Try joining societies that interest you.
I'm the same, I don't drink alcohol either so hardly ever socialise with anyone. You still have a chance to change it, I'm in my third year now and it still hasn't got any better for me

People always leave uni in the first few weeks- there should still be university accomadation available if you ask.
