Aero as Mechanical engineer?!!!!

can aerospace engineers work as mechanical engineers?HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you in advance
Aero is typically considered as a specialised branch of mechanical, so it is possible depending on the role and what the employer is willing to accept.

As I see it, 'Aeronatical' is basically 'Mechanical for Planes' that same way Auto is Mech for cars. Infact at loughborough, while the aero/auto dept is separate from the Mech dept (mainly for numbers imo) they run aero/auto together for the first two years, and have several shared moduals with Mech for the 3rd and 4th.

If you did an aero degree, the engineering will all carry over, you will just do more work with 10mm laser cut mild sheet and heavy welded fabrications (n the case of JCB), rather than cast ti-ali spars and complex 0.8mm pressings spot welded into panels.
