Costume Design Portfolio Advice

Hi there
I was wondering if anyone could help me? I'm applying for costume design for 2014 and I'm worried about my portfolio, I've checked university websites for advice but they are so vague in what they are looking for. Does anyone know what the unis will expect?

Any help would be appreciated,
Thankyou

I assume you've seen these, but just in case:

My son is a postgrad doing performance costume at ECA. They seem keen on sketchbooks, from what I can gather, but I'm no expert. The course is apparently excellent, he tells me.
Yeah, I've seen both but thankyou for the advice

Afraid it's not much. A mother's place is in the dark.
So I'm guessing nobody knows anything about undergraduate costume design portfolios?

Well, I can ask if you want, but you might do better to contact them directly:

Megan Baker is the course director. It's a very small course, only about 12 of them per year.

Thanks, but I've already emailed the design staff, but thanks for the course directors email address, I'll try that if I get no reply.

She's very nice. I've met her. Very approachable.
