Did you write a lot about economics in the personal statement?

Mine was almost 1/3 Eco and 2/3 Management

I don't think they've given out any offers yet. I sent out my application on the 8th and only got a further consideration email today. I have the same problem in that I applied for E&M at Oxford, Leeds and Bristol, Naturally I tried to keep my PS to 50/50, but I called LSE to ask about their policy on people that are in positions such as myself and they said in the final shortlisting stage I might be at a disadvantage because I mentioned economics at all. Having said that I applied for BSc Management at Warwick and got an offer so maybe it doesn't matter that much... don't know if that helps anyone.

1) GCSE Grades - Got over 90% in GCSE equivalent of my home country in each exam in 16 subjects
2) AS grades - No AS Certificate yet
3) Predicted A level - A*A*A
4) Date of application - will apply by the end of October.
5) If any offers or letters received - N/A
(edited 10 years ago)
1) GCSE Grades: 10 A*'s, 2A's
2) (IB Diploma)- 45/45 (but Maths is only SL)
3) Applied- October 28
4) Currently on the "2-week" email
I am applying to both the management and economics and mathematics courses in lse. Would it be fine to have 1/3 maths, 1/3 management and 1/3 economics on my personal statement? Management is anyways linked to economics.

any replies appreciated!
