I seriously need friends in my age group - your thoughts please

Hi

I am a 20 year old male currently studying Business/Finance and unfortunately I've not had any 'real' or lasting friendships for the past 3-4 years, ever since I've graduated from high school.

Would just like all the friendly/outgoing people to share tips/techniques/strategies they used to make good friends? I mean the ones who will help you, listen to you and give you a nice hug when you need it (and vice-versa).

A little about me:

Interests include Cycling, swimming (not really good, but improving), travel (over 22 countries travelled... wish I hadn't at this age, with hindsight), music (Classical and Metal) and making lots of money, and enjoying the things that it represents.

Willing to change attitudes, approach and interests if it means that I can have people who like my company.
