Are there opportunities to conduct research as an undergraduate student?

And if so, what exactly does this mean? Are you just given access to necessary resources and given a sort of 'mentor' to whom you may discuss your ideas with? Thanks

I definitely subscribe to this thread. I wanted to take part in a similar thing during my AS year but there werent any opportunities and now its too late since im doing my A2s, so if i can help start up such a thing id be more than happy.

Yes Oxford offer this, it's an EPSRC funded 'summer research project' for those not in their first or last year.
