Millfield - only a sports school?

Hello,
I'm looking for boarding schools in England for next year and I'm considering Malvern College, Wellington College, St Edwards Oxford, Epsom College and Millfield School.
I know the latter is a really sporty and competitive school and I'm quite sporty, but the academic and artistic part is way more important to me. The campus is amazing, I went there this summer and stayed there for 3 weeks and I loved it. Friends of my parents sent their two children to the prep school and they are satisfied.
So, the question is, is it a good academic school?
I like the fact that they have Business Studies and Economics at GCSE as well, not only at A-Level, unlike most schools.

No, for 14+ (Year 10) entry. They accept about 30 students at that stage, as they say on the website.

As I said above, they offer Business Studies and Economics from Year 10 and you can take 2 modern foreign languages and one classical language at GCSE, which quite unusual among the schools I've been looking at.
