Do we use the harvard referencing system in AS Government and Politics?Please help

Please help. Yes or no? e..g when answering questions in exams?. As my tutor handed me a harvard ref guide
Yes and also during EPQ. That's if you're doing it.

I did edexcel gov and pol and we never even mentioned it. For us we didn't need to say where we got any quotes/information from, just maybe the odd theorist or author if it was useful, e.g. Gladstone's twin pillars of the British constitution. I have never heard of someone using the Harvard system in an exam though - only in coursework :/ Ask your tutor - sounds weird....
