Hi shalusi!

Here is a link to the programme page on the website...

http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/home/our-courses/higher-education/ba-hons-creative-advertising/

I think one of the the key points about the programme would be that we have very good links with industry, which allows our students to gain work experience and produce work for companies in the industry, so by the time you graduate you already have real world experience and a good portfolio of work. I think at the time of graduation 90% of students have achieved internships or employment!

I recommend taking a read of the link and if you have any more questions just let me know.

It does get a bit nippy up here in winter but there's plenty going on in the City to keep warm! Take a look at http://www.leedsinspired.co.uk/ and http://leeds-list.com/ for events and if you're into live music http://www.leedsgigs.co.uk/

Hope this helps!

Hi, could you tell me a little about the BA Illustration course? Also what is the accommodation like? I have an interview soon but I'm not going to be able to have a tour or anything like that (I didn't visit on an open day either) Thanks :-)

Hi Lorna,

Have you had your interview?

Our BA (Hons) Illustration is about developing your own practice and learning how to become a professional illustrator. We've got lots of information on the programme page here...

http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/study/undergraduate-programmes/ba-(hons)-illustration/

We get in lots of visiting professionals who are working in illustration, some of them come in person, some over Skype. We've put some of the recent Skype ones up here....

http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/study/undergraduate-programmes/ba-(hons)-illustration/big-heads-skype-discussions/

If you haven't had a chance to look around our facilities you can take a virtual tour! This link takes you to the Illustration studio...

http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/study/undergraduate-programmes/ba-(hons)-illustration/programme-studio/

It's really nice and light and has a mezzanine! You can also take a tour around all of our facilities....

http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/about-us/facilities/

For accommodation we have places in two accommodation providers Liberty Park and Carlton Hill. Carlton Hill is just a eight min walk to the College and Liberty Park is a twenty-five min walk. We also work with Unipol who can assist with finding shared houses. We've got more info including prices and links on this page...

I hope this is helpful, if you have any more questions just let me know!

Hello,

I'm 19 and looking for places to apply for foundation art courses and noticed the tuition fees for this course tend to vary throughout universities for my age! What makes Leeds College of Art different from other areas and what are the tuition fees for me.

Also, if you could recommend any places to go for bursaries for a 19 year old applying for foundation art that would be most helpful.

Thanks, Merry Christmas,

Tom

Hi, I'd just like to know when the first year of the graphic design course finishes next year? assuming it's the same every year. Not sure if you know about this, but if not an exact date then the month would be okay. Thanks.

Hi Daniel,
I'm interested in taking Visual Communications. I was just wondering what they look for in a portfolio and how the interview is. Thanks
