LSE Investment banking conference (LSESU IBC)

Has anyone ever been to the LSE Investment banking conference?

How have they benefited from it? Did you get fast tracked to any internships or any summer work placements?

how is it different from the one being held at UCL?

Obvious bias here, but networking at LSE events > UCL events. As for the conference, a waste of time. Full of dip****s.

Conferences are bull**** compared to informal interaction with people relatively high up the chain. Invest in proper relationships, not the usual conference crap.

I'm going anyway....so two questions, how do I get them to fast track applications (I'd imagine talk, be interesting and make sure you follow up after?)

Second question is how do I get these interactions? Cold calling?
