Math extended essay. Help me plz..

I have chosen mathematics my extended essay subject.

I am still thinkin' of the appropriate topic and hoping to finish it as soon as possible since I am facing many other works, too.

Here is the topic I have come up with recently:
To what extent can mathematics be used to verify the Murphy's law in the real-life situations?

I will work on some examples like "Why does the toast fall on the side where the jam is?"
I will use some mathematical proof for this with real experiment in which I drop, let's say, 100 times and see how many times the toast has fallen on the side of jam.
