Offer from LSE for 2014 :D

Hey guys! (not really good with TSR yet, my apologies)

I've got an offer from LSE and was trying to find ways to meet people who may also be going, before the time comes. Bit early, but I'm eager!!

I've applied for Law as well at LSE but I'm waiting for that, so fingers crossed! But LSE is DEFINITELY where I want to be.

I've applied for Economics and currently waiting, my 5 weeks ends tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'll hear anything then. You must really love LSE if you applied twice :tongue:

ooh! Hope it's good news!!!! Halfway through my five weeks for law :/ and yeah, i do! I love London! I've applied for 4 London universities! But LSE is without a doubt my favorite.

Cheers, I've only applied to two unis in London (LSE & UCL) the rest outside. Did you have any difficulties writing a PS for 2 subjects?

I only wrote a law one. I asked if they wanted another, but said they go purely on what is on UCAS, so only did the one.
Yeah, UCL was one of my others!

Aww congrats! Wait so you didnt really mention anthropology in your personal statement? Can I ask what you got for AS?

Do you really want to study at LSE because you actually like the university, you've visited there numerous times etc. Or do you want to study at LSE just purely because of its outstanding reputation and its rankings in the league tables?

I'm only asking you this because a number of people go there and don't enjoy university life. Maybe because there's far too many guys there than girls. Or maybe it's because there's a lot of international students (mainly Asian students) that tend to work super hard, and find it hard to socialise. I'll say that if you want to go to a good university, but also have a great social life, then go to a university like UCL.

But what the hell, even I wouldn't turn down an offer from LSE just because of what I said, so have a great tome at LSE! :biggrin:

Visited it- fell in love! It was just perfect! I've applied to UCL as well :-)

I only wrote a law one :-) so no anthropology
I got AAABB would've liked better but my dad was very ill so I spent most of my year looking after him :/

Aw no they are brilliant grades? How long did you have to wait for the offer? Did it come after your 5 week email?

Yeah, about 3 weeks into the 5 week email, but I applied for two course at LSE, and I still haven't heard from the second course... the 5 weeks for that ends on Friday the 13th :s-smilie:
