Boris fails IQ test questions

Fresh from his recent announcement that society should concentrate only on those with an IQ of over 130, London radio station LBC decided to try out three IQ test questions on him. He failed two and declined to answer a third.

Boris had also been dismissive of those with low IQs and told his audience of bankers that their greed was justified and useful, despite having almost destroyed the UK and global economies in recent years.

These are the three questions. See how you get on. Answers are in the article.

Q1: "A man builds a house with four sides of rectangular construction each side with southern exposure. A big bear comes along. What is the colour of the bear?"

Q2L "Take two apples from three apples and what do you have?"

Q3: "I went to bed at eight in the evening last night and I wound up my clock and set my alarm to sound for nine o'clock in the morning. How many hours sleep did I get?"

Typical politician cant ever give straight answers haha.

What a tit.
Johnson [said] "No one said IQ is the only measure of ability".

Bloody hypocrite. The IQ speech will be a millstone around his neck, I can only hope he takes the Conservative leadership after they lose the general election in 2015. Labour will be on course for another win in 2020
Haha, he should be burnt at the stake! The white cis male capitalist, sexist, racist, establishment pig!
I hate that man so much.

I don't think these questions really show a person's IQ. They're more like bad riddles in my opinion...
If you actually watch the clip it's more like he didn't care, didn't listen properly, and just fobbed the guy off with an answer so as to shut him up.

He failed them on purpose to appear less elitist, after the backlash on his comments, in truth some one as intelligent as him (and he is intelligent, he went to oxford after all and is the London mayor) would almost certainly get those questions correct
Oh deary me! Well that was inevitable.
Oh Boris!

Let's make him PM!!! He's so loveable!!!111one

Well said. Accomplishing those two things are irrefutable signs of intellegence.

The first question is a slightly tricky one and easy to miss if you haven't heard it. The other 2 are just stupid trick questions.
#1 is white, #3 is 1 hour, but what is #2?

I know thats not the point of the thread but im more interested in them.

Edit: Derp #2 is 2, how boring.

Those who are quick to label others with ists are generally unworthy of being listened to.

Why did you put them alongside racist and sexist? How are those bad things? :K: (especially Pigs, they are wonderful creatures)

Why is 3) 1 hour and not 11?
Well, that's not a surprise.

It's down to the mechanics of old wind up clocks. They will not know the difference between 9am and 9pm. So when, at 8pm, you set the alarm for 9am, the clock will still go off 9pm.

You are basically just setting it to go off at "9"

Without telling you, think of the "wind up" part.

I gave it away - sorry.

Also, question #2 is two. It's the way it is worded.
