Don't be! They are taking their time so that you can get the best offer. Tbh we are all in the same boat. I am scared of what UCL will say as well.

I got an offer from QM
Thank you for telling me to calm down

Four out the way.. waiting on UCL :dontknow:

Providing you do something productive, be it working, travelling or volunteering, a gap year can be the best thing that ever happened to you. Take advantage. Boost your CV. Gain life experience.

Thats true, hopefully that will be the plan!

Have you guys thought about the limitations of doing such a specific degree? If so what are your worries?

Limitations? Such as? It has one of the highest job prospects over the next few years, so I dont think you would really be limited. The course is quite vast, so there are a few routes to specialise in once you finish the degree.

Yeah my thoughts exactly...
I've got four offers (Cardiff, Sheffield, Surrey and Southampton) and waiting on an interview at Imperial. Currently thinking of firming Cardiff. What about you lot?

Hey, I'm from Scotland and applied to two Biomedical Engineering courses in Scotland (Glasgow and Strathclyde) and I got two unconditionals! I don't know how to choose between them and because they're quite new courses there's not an awful lot about which one is better! Good Luck to everyone who has got interviews:smile:

Glasgow!

Oooh, is there any reasons why you'd say Glasgow over Strathclyde? I am swaying towards Glasgow right now but still not 100% sure

Is there anyone hoping to study biomedical engineering? If so, where have you applied to and have you received and offers yet?

Hi there!

I applied to Biomedical Engineering as well!
For now I only got an offer from City University.

Well, tbh it doesn't really matter though.
BME is like very diverse degree, you'll study lot of medical(science) and engineering subjects. So i think school of life science of Glasgow uni is one of the best in Uk.

The overall teaching of school of life sciences in glasgow is brilliant. They perfectly manage Labs, seminars, tests - honestly you learn a lot. There is large number of staff you can ask for help from. Myself - i am pretty much happy with sciences teaching in glasgow. Strathclyde's school of life science is not so great.

Glasgow's school of engineering is okey not as good as school of sciences.

Best of luck with whatever you choose.

Has anyone gotten an offer from UCL? Apparently they are only taking 6 Uk students and 2 international students. They are even rejecting AAA students. That sounds abit odd.

Hi!

I just got rejected yesterday =(

By the way, who told you they are taking only 6 Uk students? Also, how do you know that AAA students got rejected.
Lastly, do you know how many students applied to this course this year?
It was on its way, and I finally got that rejection from UCL!

Good luck to everyone else still waiting

I spoke to the admissions tutor. He informed me that because it is the first year there is a very low chance and that they are only taking just a few people. I got a rejection too. I'm wondering how many people really applied for Biomed.

I got a rejection too. If anyone is still waiting it's most likely that they've been rejected too but good luck with all your choices
