Need help with my EPQ question on the sucessfullness of Classical Greece

So I'm doing my extended project qualification on Classical Greece. I am currently in my final year of college before I depart to university, and I felt this section has more relevance than any other so I'm posting here.

My question is "Critically assess the sucessfullness of Classical Greece"

I am definately including the military aspects of Greece, such as the unit types, training procedure, battles between the city states, battles against foreign attacks.

Should I soely focus in this department for my EPQ? I am currently contemplating examining their culture (religion, laws, entertainment, services, political structure), their academia (philosophy and science) and their lifestyle (jobs, houses, food)

However, I'm not quite sure how I would examine the sucessfulness of these areas? I was thinking of comparing them to other ancient historical civilisations such as Rome for example.

How would I go about assessing the sucessfullness of all of the factors I've listed and also should I focus on all of these factors in the first place?
