I don't like my course.

I am in the second year of an electrical engineering course and i know longer like it. I find every unit boring and i have no motivation to do any work or studying. I can't see my self working as an engineer in years to come. What should i do?

Do you have a tutor? I think you need some advice from within the department.

Your university should have a career advice service - contact them for advice.

Many people study engineering and then go into careers in many other fields like business, banking etc... it is a well respected degree!

What do you want to do instead?

Have you got any personal tutors or staff that you can ask for advice on this stuff? I'd book an appointment with them, they have experience.

Why did you choose the course in the first place? Is there anything you were expecting that it's lacking in?
What about your course is it that you don't like?

Anyway in reality working as an engineer isn't really much like studying it at university.
