Has anyone visited the uni?? Or spoke to people on the course, I wanna accept but just want to know bit more bout the uni first  Tia xx

Heyyy, congratulations on getting in for the foundation! i've got a conditional for the foundation too
and i've had an email from UCB inviting me to an 'applicant day' on 29th March, where they talk to you all about your chosen course and you get to look round the halls

I live nearish to Birmingham anyway, but i'm gonna be *hopefully* living in The Maltings halls  me and my dad drove around to find out where they are, they're literally right next to halls from the other uni's in Brum, it's a really good location, not far from the Bullring or the uni!
they may have sent you an email inviting you to an applicant day as well, although they might have several of them so i'm not sure. my friend in my class at college is doing the exact same as me but she hasn't recieved an email, i think she might be ringing them up haha

Good luck!

Hi I went for a visit last week and absolutely loved it. The uni is about 5/10 min walk to the centre and maltings accommodation. The maltings is about 5 min walk from broad street where all the bars are!! 10 min walk to train station and the bullring shopping centre. The maltings is in a secure compound and has 2 laundrette rooms, a student bar with loads of leather settees for chilling, a new gym above the bar and a convenience store. The rooms were quite a good size and are en-suite. The course has a mixture if everything ie hair, make-up, prosthetics, styling for photography etc. I had already firmed and I am so glad I did

I left after the 1st year as I hated it! Didn't learn anything different from the level 3 I had done the year before, Put me off wanting to be a Mua completely, lol But I've still got friends their who carried on, the 2nd years at the time even said our year was shocking but u never no maybe they might have listened to the moans from students 😂 so good luck chick! You never no maybe u will like it if u haven't done the level 3 x

Hi Charlotte, I am currently a 2nd year student at UCB. I love this course, it is exactly what I want to do and having the opportunity to learn and practise all different skills and techniques is amazing.

With any degree there is a lot of work and assignments, but also with this course a lot of hours are spent in practical lectures which are always fun.

Good luck with the open day, if you have any more questions feel free to ask me. I also run a blog lucyatucb.wordpress.com which I talk more about the course and uni life.

Hope this helps,

Lucy x
