Nice to meet you haha~ Bangor is my first choice too... I come from Hong Kong:smile: Happy to know you would choose Bangor as well! Which course are you going to apply?
Nice to meet you too  Hong Kong? That's really cool, I'd love to travel there sometime in the future, I'm from England. Out of all the university choices I had, I thought that Bangor seemed the best to go to because the benefits outweighed the negativity. I'm going to be applying for Psychology with Clinical and Health Psychology, what are you applying for?:excited:

Are you Asian? Coz I'm asian who is planning to go Bangor Uni this year, I wanna know how they feel towards Asian too....

I'm not quite sure what people expect when coming to wales but I can assure you it is not known for being a hostile place towards other nationalities. I'm starting Bangor Uni this September as a mature student. I also went to the secondary school there some years ago and while I have never lived in the city I have done my fair share of socialising there over the years.

You probably won't notice much of a difference between Bangor and many other English towns and cities in terms of the people there. The only thing is that you may hear the Welsh language being used but you'll probably hear it a lot less than you expect when you get there.

Hey I'm applying for Chemistry at Bangor and i was just wondering what the night life is like in Bangor? Some people have told me its virtually non existent?? Really hope this is not true as the Uni looks lovely.

There are three nightclubs and a ridiculous number of pubs! It's more than possible to have a great night out in Bangor- and the night life is huge for a city of its size. Obviously, it's not going to have as many clubs as Birmingham, Liverpool or Manchester because their town centres are bigger than the entire City :L But what we do have is awesome
I'd advise students not to go out on a Saturday unless your going Academi, the student club as locals can be quite hostile towards students.

Bangor nightlife is what you make of it, it's a very small city but argubably one of best for pre-drinks due to amount of bars and proximity. It's a small university as well so you will know most people when out.
