Uniform acceleration question

A toy rocket is fired vertically upwards and reaches a height of 78.4m. What is the initial velocity of project and the time it takes to reach its highest point.

I know that s = 78.4 and a = 9.81 but i'm not sure how to find u since I don't have V? Or do i take that to be 0?
Take V to be 0 at the highest point as the rocket will be stationary

v=0 ms^-1

and remember a=-9.81 not +9.81 because it acts in the opposite direction to displacement which you've defined as being positive

you are subtly give the final velocity, just think what happens at the maximum height.
