Not pseudo science. FosB goes up with abstinence before it goes down. Preference for the specific reward goes up whilst preference for general novelty (which is what caused the initial conditions) goes down, temporarily.
It's not enough to make clinical recommendations since it's not about fapping specifically but we know that the brain responds in the same way to all strong dopaminergic rewards and you personally know day 14 is a peak for you sooo...
You're going to have to spell it out a bit simpler please. :P Even Google hasn't been my friend here.
I'm mainly not getting what is meant by "preference for general novelty."

Well abstinence from any reward gets harder before it gets easier and we know the molecular basis for this.
Novelty is a big concept in addiction but in this context, the drive for novelty as in wanting different, new, exciting things goes down and the drive for that specific reward goes up. Temporarily. Imagine it as tunnel vision.
Novelty itself is what causes addiction - whether that's novelty in category or amount. So it's a big thing when something is powerful enough to suppress that general novelty programming.

So the desire to fulfill the addiction goes up, while the desire to do anything else goes down, until you reach a peak and this "tunnel vision" goes away?
So after 14 days this should be a walk in the park?

Generally it's a gradual decrease but due to some unknown nuances with the sexual circuits in our brain everyone responds differently.
Addiction to drugs is well understood, even behavioural addictions in general are understood fairly well but no-one knows anything about porn addiction specifically; how it fits into the grand scheme of inherent human sexuality and what's really happening to those brain circuits.
Remember addiction is a scale and in terms of food, sex etc there is a healthy (and required in the case of food!) level of addiction. There's no reason to change unless it's too much. Generally in the case of porn, if you flatline as described above, however much you were doing was too much since abstinence should cause libido to go up indefinitely, as any old man who went without for a while and didn't have access to our modern porn will say.

Cheers, fascinating stuff.
I really want to get past 2 weeks just to see what happens more than anything. I find it pretty straightforward up to that point but then I just break out of nowhere.
