Books similar to 'A Dangerous Fortune' by Ken Follett

I've just read: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dangerous-Fortune-Ken-Follett/dp/033054442X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1387808428&sr=1-1&keywords=a+dangerous+fortune

and thought it brilliant.

Does anyone have recommendations of any books that are good and you can't put down, and importantly, set in Victorian Britain?

Cheers
I haven't read this book but I thought of a number of stories set in Victorian England that you could look into:
- The Meaning of Night (Michael Cox)
- Fingersmith (Sarah Waters)
- The Somnambulist (Jonathan Barnes)
- Arthur & George (Julian Barnes)
- Angels & Insects (A.S. Byatt)
- The Dark Lantern (Gerri Brightwell)
- Jack Maggs (Peter Carey)
- A Spy in the House (Y.S. Lee)
- Drood (Dan Simmons)
- The Quincunx (Charles Palliser)
- The Fortunes of Grace Hammer: A Novel of the Victorian Underworld (Sara Stockbridge)

Do you mean books that have been written by modern authors rather than Victorian authors like Dickens? I also haven't read that book you mention, but I would second the recommendation for Jack Maggs by Peter Carey, though, if I remember correctly and can be pedantic, it's actually set a few weeks/months before the Victorian era begins. Apparently, it's inspired by Dickens' 'Great Expectations'.
